How ethics will define AI adoption in 2026

Why have ethics become a design decision?

The volume and reach of AI has grown dramatically. Its capabilities have spread across organizations and sectors as companies see the value of automation, predictive analytics or copilots embedded into everyday tools. At the same time, this speed is creating confusion, fatigue and mistrust as early projects underperform or feel opaque to the people affected by them.  

Governments are introducing more AI-related regulations and legislative references to the technology have increased sharply across multiple jurisdictions.
