Founder's story
Mint was bought out in early 2014 by then directors, Trevor Ahier, Carel du Toit, Yvonne Dias. Since then, the Shareholders have been joined by Willhelm van Rensburg and directors Dennis Lupambo, Ronelle Naidoo and Sugeshni Subroyen.

Mint is a highly regarded Microsoft implementation partner, and our Minties have access to all content and expertise necessary to achieve and maintain the various certifications required for our 6 designations.

Hybrid Work
We believe Minties thrive best when they work from where they want to. In some instances, projects require Minties to be onsite at a client. We prioritise flexibility for Minties to meet their personal and professional obligations.
Leave that Suits You
Minties receive 20 days annual leave plus up to 5 extra days special leave. Minties also receive a half day leave on (or near) their birthday, because while we want to celebrate with you, we know you also want to have some time to spoil yourself.

Parental Benefits
Minties who bear a child and/or who are the primary caregiver receive four months leave on the birth of adoption of their baby/child. Minties whose partner is the child bearer receives ten days parental leave on the birth or adoption of their child.
Healthcare
We understand how stressful the costs of healthcare are. Mint provides employees with a Gap Cover product to subsidise their medical costs.
Volunteering
One of our proudest initiatives is DotUnity through which we support worthy community-based organisations. We host four Hands-On days per year during which time Minties can join one of our beneficiaries for a morning of volunteering.

Can’t always make it to the office to meet up with your colleagues? We have a weekly Mintie check-in Teams call every Friday as well as monthly Town Hall Teams meetings where Minties can keep up to date with what’s happening.
Who is Thriving with Mint?
Inclusion
Inclusion is important to Mint, and we continuously strive to ensure our Minties have a voice and an ear within the organisation.
We have a bi-annual Mintie Experience survey, and we utilise bi-annual KPIs as a formal source of feedback and engagement. Minties are encouraged to give feedback and speak up, either formally or informally, or by using the public, private, and anonymous channels we have designated for inclusive communication.
We have an Employment Equity committee who meet quarterly, we have a forum for juniors to meet bi-monthly to discuss their concerns, and we have various forums for Minties to engage with leaders and their colleagues in a constructive and effective manner.
We have also created a business vehicle to support SMEs in the technology sector and assist them in acquiring new clients and successfully growing their business through our Ubuntu Programme.
Diversity
Mint has prioritised diversity through focused initiatives, and we believe, while we have a lot to do, we have made strides in getting more women (35%) and more people of colour (43%) into technology. 12% of our employees are thirty or younger and we have embraced the wisdom and experience of our more experienced employees with 8% of Minties
fifty-five years or older.
We have several differently abled Minties, and we have partnered with eDEAF to assist more hearing-impaired school-leavers get upskilled with a technology learnership to successfully enter the job market.

How can you start Thriving with Mint?
We are predominantly looking for technical people with experience in the Microsoft stack. If you are a software developer with C# and Microsoft experience, please submit your up-to-date CV here.

Ten years ago, Mint recognized the opportunity of providing experienced people an opportunity to switch careers into the tech industry through a comprehensive Apprenticeship Programme. The six-month programme is designed to upskill suitable candidates with the theory needed while providing them with mentoring, on-the-job training, and technical guidance to acquire intermediate-level knowledge and successfully obtain three Microsoft certifications. On successful completion of the programme, Apprentices are employed permanently within Mint Group.
Mint has partnered with GirlCode to provide young women with an opportunity to obtain a learnership in coding while also benefiting from comprehensive workplace experience with our dev or IT teams. Check out this video of a day in the life of one of our recent GirlCoders.
